5 Ways to Bypass an iPhone Passcode
If you’re the owner of an iPhone and you can’t remember your password, you’re in luck, as it turns out there are multiple ways to bypass an iPhone passcode so that you don’t have to call Apple or go to the store. There are two ways to do this, depending on whether or not your phone has been used before.
1) Wait it out
If the person is asleep, you can wait until they wake up and then ask them for their passcode. If you're really desperate and willing to take a risk, there's no harm in trying to guess the passcode. You might be lucky enough to get it on your first try!
2) Call the person who locked you out
Hey, I'm locked out of my phone and the only way I can get back in is with the passcode. Would you mind giving me yours so I can unlock it? I would be eternally grateful if you could help me out here. Thanks for being such a good person! You're the best!
3) Give your phone a hot bath
To bypass the passcode on your iPhone, try holding the power button and home button at the same time for about 10 seconds. If that doesn't work, you might need to call Apple Support for more advanced help.
4) Reset Network Settings
Resetting the network settings on your device will reset all of your wireless and data connections. This is a good option if you have forgotten the passcode but still remember your password. To do this, navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
5) Use Siri to Unlock Your Device
If you have a recent iPhone, you can use Siri to bypass your passcode. Just press the Home button and say Hey Siri. You'll need an internet connection for this one. Simply ask Siri to unlock your device, and it should do just that! As of iOS 12, though, when prompted by another person's voice—such as a police officer or someone else with legal authority—Siri will require an additional security code before unlocking the device.
